Pre-loved Uniform pop up shop

The Uniform Bank was founded in 2018 by Letchworth Garden City Church. Since then, it has grown and developed strong partnerships with primary and secondary schools across the town, as well as working alongside the Heritage Foundation, community agencies and local charities.

Our aim is simple: to support local families by providing good-quality school uniform for children, while also helping to reduce waste and protect our environment.

Our Pop-Up Shop

Over the years, The Uniform Bank has expanded in many ways. Every summer, we run a pop-up shop in Letchworth town centre, where families can drop in during our opening hours and browse the uniform we have available.

There is no need to book an appointment. We are open at various times throughout the school holidays, so please check out the dates below as well as the Uniform Bank Facebook page for the latest opening times and information.

We welcome donations to work of the Uniform Bank in our community

  • Our pop-up shop does not operate year-round, so when there are no upcoming dates we encourage you to approach your child’s school to discuss your needs.

  • The Uniform Bank is a donation-based organisation, so we do not set prices for individual items.

    We gratefully accept donations from families who are able to contribute. All money received goes directly back into The Uniform Bank, helping us to continue providing this valuable resource to children and families in our community.

    We also welcome donations of good-quality, pre-loved school uniform. Items are washed, ironed and carefully put back onto the shelves so they can be reused by another child and family.

  • We currently partner with 10 schools across Letchworth Garden City. This means we have a wide range of school-specific uniform, as well as generic school items.

    • Wilbury Primary School

    • Garden City Academy

    • Northfields Junior School

    • The Grange Academy

    • Norton St Nicholas School

    • Highfield School

    We also receive uniform from other schools, so the best way to find out what we have in stock is to come along and have a look!

  • We would love to receive your good-quality, pre-loved school uniform so that it can be reused by another local family.
