Dear LGCC'ers,
You will know that one of the biblical principles underpinning so much of what we do together as a church family is that "church is the people, not the building where the people meet". Specifically - and both practically and spiritually - this means that "LGCC = YOU, not our building".
However, for a long time I have felt that having our building named as "Letchworth Garden City Church" runs counter to this biblical principle and that maybe by having a different building name we would more easily be able to grasp this vital and core New Testament truth.
With this in mind, my fellow elders and I have decided to initiate a process in which the name of the building will be changed (our church name of course remains "LGCC"/"Letchworth Garden City Church" - we just want to find a different name for our home/ meeting place).
We would very much like to involve you in this entire process of finding a new building name. Therefore, to start with, if any of you have suggestions as to what the new name might be, please do e-mail them to info@mylgcc.com.
So please get you're thinking hats on! :) Perhaps do a bit of brainstorming in your Discipleship Groups too.
