The Zone
The Zone is our Sunday morning group for children in Primary School Years 3-6. The Zone sessions are designed to take the kids to a deeper knowledge and understanding of God and the foundations of the Christian faith. The sessions teach the children through creative and fun activities that help them to explore and ask questions about God and to build their own personal relationship with Christ.
When does The Zone take place?
Approx. 40 minutes into the Sunday morning service there will be a presentation on the big screens showing the ‘wiggly worms’ graphics; this is a prompt to the children that it is time for their groups to begin.
Where does The Zone take place?
The Zone kids line up in the Concourse area and are led by The Zone leaders to the Drama Room. Parents collect the children directly from the Drama Room after the service has closed.
How long does The Zone run for?
The Zone will run from the time of the ‘Wiggly Worms’ presentation on the big screens until the end of the service – usually approx. 45 minutes – 1 hour. Please collect your child promptly at the end of the service.
What happens in a typical The Zone session?
The Zone sessions consist of a number of activities that are both fun and also designed to compliment the teaching point of the session. Activities range from games, songs, dramas, crafts and stories. During the session the children will also be offered a drink and a snack.
