We value healthy relationships and we believe it is important for everyone to discover a place where they can connect and grow. We were never created to do life alone and our Connect Groups exist for individuals to connect with one another and grow in their relationship with God which are important parts of maintaining a healthy Christian walk.

“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” Proverbs 27:17

We believe Connect Groups are one of the best places to foster significant relationships and growth with one another. They provide a great way to connect with a small group of people and are a safe place to be known, encouraged, celebrated and challenged. The format and atmosphere of each group will be different depending on the leaders and the people in the group, but they will all exist to help you connect with each other and with God.

We see our Connect Groups being based around four important values:

Not all connections are good for you! Connect Groups are designed to promote the development of life-giving connections. In a world that seems to work hard at tearing us down and destroying our confidence, these are relationships that will encourage and strengthen you, and spur you on to be the best you can be.

Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matt 28:19)

Connect Groups are an opportunity to grow in faith and to develop spiritual gifts, even if the group is centered on a “non-spiritual” activity.  The groups’ activities encourage growth in leaders and members.  Part of the leaders’ role is to show others how to live as a disciple of Jesus today.

In Genesis, God said, “It is not good that man should be alone.” (Gen 2:18) People are looking for somewhere to belong, a place where they are accepted and understood.  We were made to function best in the context of community an community is at its best when it serves others.

Followers of Jesus are not called to ‘fit in’ or ‘blend in’ but to stand out, be bold and influence the world around us. We hope that through connecting, growing and serving you will be equipped to influence others for Christ through your lifestyle and commitment to Christ.

Details of all our Connect Groups are available here and on our website. If you are interested in joining with a group then please get in touch with the Connect Group leader or through the Church office.
