Vision & Values

In any Home there are a set of values. Those values may be well articulated or they may sit under the radar but nonetheless values will permeate a Home. At LGCC it is no different, we have a set of values that shape who we are as a church and will shape the future we are walking towards.

We want to be a Home that is intentional about that future, intentional about the values we hold and what they look like. However, our prayer isn’t that you will know these values off by heart, it isn’t even that you fully agree with our values, our prayer is that you will experience our values. Whether it’s your first or one hundredth time at LGCC, we want to know our values because you’ve experienced them first hand.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a church that connects and leads people into a growing relationship with Jesus because we believe this is where life begins – in relationship with Jesus. Wherever you are based, Letchworth or Uganda, school or your workplace you can live your life in such a way that you walk out this vision personally and together with all of LGCC.

Our Mission

Our mission is to be a church that connects with others, grows in our relationship with God, serves one another and influences our world. We understand that every individual, no matter how young or old has great potential and purpose. We want to see every person live that out in their personal faith journey and alongside others.

We understand that there are values that drive us towards that vision and mission. Values that define, drive and inspire us to believe God for more. The following seven values are what we believe shape us as a church family and will determine where we pour our energy, time and resources.

Each of our values are centred around Acts 2:42 – 47, which is a description of the early church and we believe is as true today, for us as it was then.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

We are on a journey, an exciting journey to see these values come into fruition in our Home.
